WILKES-BARRE-Nathan K. Williams, 78, of Wilkes-Barre, passed away Thursday, July 26, 2012 at his home. Born in Noxen on March 4, 1934, he was a son of the late Albert T. and Minnie (Kresge) Williams. He was a veteran of the United States Army. He earned two Bachelor Degrees and his Masters Degree of Psychology from Temple University. Prior to retiring in 1998, he was a welding instructor at Wilkes-Barre Area Vo-Tech. Prior to that, he instructed the welding class at Scranton Vo-Tech. He was a member of Caldwell Consistory, Bloomsburg; Coalville Masonic Lodge #474, Sugar Notch and Irem Temple A.A.O.N.M.S, Dallas. Nathan enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was very happily married to his wife of 56 years, Dorothy. He was preceded in death by twin sons, Mark and Matthew. Surviving is his wife, the former Dorothy Brown; sons Nathan “Jeff” Williams and his companion, Craig White, Hughestown; Gary S. Williams and his companion, Georgia Straub, Wilkes-Barre; daughters Donna Innocenti, at home; Rachel Appel and her husband, Brian, Pittston; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brothers Albert Williams, Dallas; William Williams and his wife, Monica, Wilkes-Barre; sister Audrey Dymond and her husband, Richard, Nuangola; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 3, 2012, a Kniffen O’Malley Funeral Home, Inc., 465 S. Main Street, Wilkes-Barre with the Reverend Doctor James L. Harring officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Shrine Cemetery. Friends may call Thursday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Celtic Hospice, 601 Wyoming Ave. Kingston, PA 18704.
