Natalie (Welgos) Lispi

WILKES-BARRE-Natalie Lispi, 77, of the Keystone Section of Plains Township, passed away Monday at her home. Born in Wilkes-Barre on December 8, 1932, she was a daughter of the late John and Mary (Polifka) Welgos. She was a member of Blessed Sacrament Church, Miners Mills. Mrs. Lispi was a committee woman for the Luzerne County Democrats. She was currently in the Riverview Adult Day Care Program which she loved to attend. Prior to retiring, she was employed by Laura Fashions and Sally Frock's. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Virgil F. Lispi, who passed away February 12, 2001; a brother, John Welgos and a sister Mary Welgos. Surviving are her son, Leonard "Lenny" Lispi and his wife, Muriel, Keystone Section of Plains Township; grandsons Neil and Jeremy Lispi; great-granddaughters, Sarah, Alycia and Lena; brother Joseph Welgos and his wife, Barbara, Plains Township; sister Dolores Karas, Plains Township; several nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday at 10:00 a.m. in St. Dominic's Church, 155 Austin Ave., Parsons. The Reverend Joseph Kearney will officiate. Interment will follow in the Italian Independent Cemetery, West Wyoming. Friends may call Saturday morning from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. at the church. Kniffen O'Malley Funeral Home, Inc., 465 South Main Street, Wilkes-Barre, is in charge of arrangements.
