Naomi (Hewitt) Chiappelli

YORK-Naomi Hewitt Chiappelli, 85, died Friday, January 29, 2010 at York Hospital. She was the loving wife of the late Carlo Chiappelli and the late Forrest "Bud" Hewitt. Funeral services will be private at the request of the family. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Road, York is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Chiappelli was born March 16, 1924 in Tanoma, PA, a daughter of the late Odessa McQuown Sweigart. She was a graduate of Marion Center Area High School, was employed by Sears, Roebuck and Company, and was a lifetime member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Indiana, PA. Mrs. Chiappelli took great pleasure in traveling with her family and friends. Her favorite place to visit was the beach. Most of all, she was fond of spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She also loved country music and enjoyed line dancing with her senior friends. Mrs. Chiappelli is survived by a daughter Connie L. Hewitt of Swedesboro, NJ; a son, William E. Hewitt and his wife, Wendolyn, and their two children, Brandon and Kylie of York, PA; many nieces and nephews; and 10 grandcats. She was preceded in death by a brother Clifford; and two sisters Betty and Mona. A Celebration of Life event is being planned for later this year in Indiana, PA.
