RED LION- Naomi E. (Grim) Brown, 90, passed away Friday, December 30, 2011 at Rest Haven. She was the wife of the late Ross E. Brown, who passed away on September 11, 1972. The couple had been married 31 years. A funeral service will be 11 a.m. on Tuesday, January 3, 2012 at Zion United Methodist Church, 1155 Felton Rd., Red Lion with the Reverend James C. House and the Reverend Stephany S. Sechrist officiating. A viewing will be from 9:30-11 a.m. prior to the service. Burial will be in Zion United Methodist Cemetery. Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Pl., Red Lion is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Brown was born on January 15, 1921 in Red Lion, a daughter of the late Charles R. and Katie E. (Grim) Grim. Naomi worked in the shipping department at Danskin until her retirement in 1989. Mrs. Brown was a member of Zion United Methodist Church, formerly Stabley's Zion United Brethren in Christ Church, where she was a descendant of the original founders. She was also on the Alter Guild Committee at church. Naomi enjoyed crocheting and working in her garden. Most importantly, she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Mrs. Brown is survived by four daughters, Joyce McDermott and her late husband, Robert of Felton, Judy Brown of Red Lion, Leah Conley and her companion, Steuart McCleaf of Red Lion, and Karen Arnold and her husband, Craig of New Bridgeville; eight grandchildren; and 14 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Larry R. Brown; a grandson, Andrew Arnold; and a sister, Irene Heininger.
