Nancy L. Knisley

RED LION - Nancy L. (Markel) Knisley, 76, passed away July 13, 2023 at York Hospital.

Nancy was born in York on March 14, 1947, a daughter of the late William and Rosetta (Ream) Markel.

After graduating from high school, Ms. Knisley went into machine operating and continued this line of work for most of her working life, later retiring from Gichner. After retirement, she worked at Weis Markets. In her free time, she enjoyed watching television shows such as Law & Order and going hunting or fishing.

Nancy is survived by her son, Scott A. Knisley and his wife, Stacey, of Brogue; as well as two siblings, Jim Markel and Dixie Zarfoss. She is preceded in death by three siblings, Kenny Markel, William “Billy” Markel and Glenda Knob.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family. Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., Red Lion, will be assisting the family with arrangements.
