Nancy L. (Burger) Sweitzer

York—Nancy L. (Burger) Sweitzer, 75, passed away, Monday March 18, 2013 at her residence in Manchester Township. She was the wife of George L. Sweitzer to whom she was married for 38 years. A Celebration of Life Service will be private at the convenience of the family. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd, York is in charge of arrangements. Born March 23, 1937 in Goldsboro, she was a daughter of the late Raymond T. and Irene (Slaseman) Burger. A dedicated and caring homemaker, family was very important to her, especially her grandchildren. She enjoyed playing cards, crossword puzzles, cooking, shopping and was an avid NASCAR and Dale Earnhardt Sr fan. Mrs. Sweitzer is survived by two sons, Kenneth J. Hanna, Jr of Lancaster and Eric L. Sweitzer of York; three daughters, Melissa S. Price of York, Tammy M. Schapansky of Loris, SC and Sherrie L. Gayman of York; 8 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren; three brothers, Joe Burger of Dover, Harry Burger of Fairview Twp and Ronnie Burger of Harrisburg; one sister, Mary Sunich of Peonia, CO and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one brother, Ted Burger.
