Nancy K. Diehl

DOVER- Nancy K. (Plonk) Diehl, 55, passed away at Milton S. Hershey Medical Center on Tuesday, June 24, 2008. She was the loving wife of David M. Diehl. A Celebration of Life tribute service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 28, 2008 at Mt. Zion United Church of Christ, 12 N. Main St., Spring Grove, PA 17362 with her pastor, the Rev. Larry Smith officiating. A viewing will be at the church Saturday from 10-11:00 a.m. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd., York is in charge of the arrangements. Mrs. Diehl was born on March 3, 1953, a daughter of Miriam "Becky" (Beck) Plonk and the late George Plonk, Jr. She was a 1971 graduate of Spring Grove High School. She married David Diehl on August 23, 1980. Mrs. Diehl was employed for many years with the West York School District as one of the Lunch Ladies. She enjoyed fishing, reading, trivia and going to yard sales. She sang in her church choir and with the Spring Grove Alumni Choir. In addition to her husband, David, Mrs. Diehl is survived by her two daughters, Lisa Kellison and her husband, Tracy of Dover and Michelle Remmey and her husband, Christoher of Dover; three grandchildren, Dalton, Summer, and Zane; four brothers, William Plonk and his wife Judy of Hanover, George Plonk, III and his wife, Cheryl of Zephyrhills, Fl., John Plonk and his wife, Laurie of Thomasville, and Steve Plonk and his wife, Denise of York; two sisters, Joyce Bollinger and her husband, Wayne of Ballwin, MO, and Donna Plonk and her significant other, Jim Roades of Thomasville; many nieces and nephews and a host of friends. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Mt. Zion United Church of Christ, 12 N. Main St., Spring Grove, PA 17362.
