Nancy E. (Snyder) Shuman

RED LION- Nancy E. (Snyder) Shuman, 84, died on Tuesday, January 23, 2018 at York Hospital. She was the wife of the late Bernard Lenhart and the late Ross Shuman. A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, January 31, 2018 at St. Andrews Episcopal Church, 1502 4th Ave., York, PA, 17403 with Father David Bateman officiating. Born on April 24, 1933 in Winterstown, she was a daughter of the late Willard and Elsie (Schmuck) Snyder. Nancy was an LPN for Manor Care for many years. Ms. Shuman was a present member of St. Andrews Episcopal Church of York and a former member of St. John’s U.C.C. of Red Lion She was a longtime member and volunteer of Richard M. Nixon Park. Nancy loved animals especially chickens, dogs, rabbits and cats and also loved nature. Ms. Shuman is survived by her companion, Ridge Prettyman of Seven Valleys; two sons, John Lenhart and wife Denise of Red Lion and William Lenhart and wife, Brenda of Red Lion; four daughters, Alice Rainey of Hellam, Ann Ness of Manchester, Caroline Spahr of Dallastown and Nan Louise Markel of Camp Hill; 17 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild; and one sister, Alice Stine and husband, Ken of Jacksonville, FL. She was preceded in death by a son, Daniel Lenhart of Red Lion; and a brother, David Snyder of Craley. Memorial contributions may be made to Richard M.
