Nancy A. Smeltzer

RED LION--Nancy A. (Wile) Smeltzer, 82, passed away Friday, November 4, 2022 at her residence in Palmyra, PA. She was the wife of Lee. E. Smeltzer to whom she was married for 54 years.

A Celebration of Life Tribute will be private at the convenience of the family. Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion, PA is in charge of arrangements.

Born December 14, 1939 in Waynesboro, PA she was a daughter of the late Thomas and Hilda (Haugh) Wile.

She was employed with Cole Steel for more than 20 years where she worked as an administrative assistant, accounting and finance.

An avid flower gardener, she also loved trips to the beach and decorating her home. She was a 1957 graduate of William Penn Senior High School and a member of her class’s reunion committee.

In addition to her husband, Mrs. Smeltzer is also survived by three children, Christi L Schroeder of Richmond, VA, Cathi L. Schroeder and her husband, Tom Gosse of Phoenixville, PA and Gary G. Schroeder and his wife, Andrea of Stewartstown, PA; two step-sons, Brian K. Smeltzer and his wife, Davelyn of York, PA and Ron L. Smeltzer and his wife, Stacy of Lewisburg, OH; six grandsons, one granddaughter and two great grandsons.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center Heart and Vascular Institute, 500 University Drive, Hershey, Pa 17033.
