Nancy A. (Ammons) Carrell

ETTERS- Nancy A. (Ammons) Carrell, 83, passed away Wednesday, August 16, 2017 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of Earl Carrell. The couple would have celebrated their 62nd wedding anniversary this coming December. A Celebration of Life tribute service will be held at 6 PM on Monday, August 21, 2017 at Beaver-Urich Funeral, 305 W. Front Street, Lewisberry, with Certified Celebrant Betty Frey officiating. A visitation will be held from 5-6 PM prior to the service. Born February 2, 1934 in Abington, PA, Nancy was a daughter of the late Clarence and Bertha (Fornwalt) Ammons. She worked as an office manager in Dr. Vance Stouffer’s office for 20 years until her retirement in 1989. In addition to her husband, Earl, Mrs. Carrell is survived by a daughter, Jody Acri and her husband Richard; two grandsons, Brian Carrell Acri and Richard Earl Acri; a great-granddaughter, Maci Sharon Acri; a brother, Phillip Ammons of Oklahoma City, OK, and a sister, Peggy Ann Taylor of Shalimar, FL. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 924 N. Colonial Ave., York, PA 17403. The family would like to offer special thanks to Dr. Ori Shokeck, Dr. Timothy McGuinness, WellSpan Radiation, WellSpan Gynecology, and Heartland Hospice for the care they provided for Nancy.
