Monica H. (Hortner) Mann

WILLIAMSPORT - Monica H. (Hortner) Mann, 65, died on Sunday, May 2, 2010 at the Williamsport Hospital, Williamsport. Monica was born on December 6, 1944 in Mexico City, Mexico and was the daughter of the late Eric and Karola (Deutsch) Hortner. She was married in July 1968 to Mark S. Mann who survives. Monica was a member of the Congregation Ohev Sholom. She was a dedicated homemaker, amazing mother and grandmother. She spent many of her days with her daughters and grandchildren in State College. Her passion was her family. In addition to her husband, Mark, she is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law; Kim and Frankie Torres and Dara and Guy Lavallee, all of State College, four grandchildren; Michael and Ethan Lavallee and Jaden and Gabriella Torres. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one daughter; Lorena in 1994. There will be a memorial service held 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 5, 2010 at the Allen and Redmond Funeral Home, 331 Elmira St., Williamsport with Rabbi David Ostrich officiating. Burial will follow in Wildwood Cemetery, Williamsport.
