Mitchell L. 'Mitch' Knaub

BROGUE- Mitchell L. “Mitch” Knaub, 55, of Chanceford Township, passed peacefully after a courageous battle with cancer on Thursday, September 29, 2011 at his residence. He was the husband of Cindy L. (Glatfelter) Knaub. The couple celebrated their 26th wedding anniversary on August 10th. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday, October 4, 2011 at Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place in Red Lion, with a visitation from 1-2:30 p.m. Chaplain Keith Searfoss will be officiating at the service. Burial will be in Emanuel Cemetery in Lewisberry. Mitch was born in Columbia on July 9, 1956, a son of Marie E. (Byers) Knaub Munchel and her husband Eugene A. Munchel and the late Martin R. Knaub. He worked as a Maintenance Technician for 37 years for the former Borg Warner, now Johnson Controls in York. Mitch was a member of The Land of Milk and Honey Rod and Gun Club in Clinton County. He was an avid boater, enjoyed water skiing, camping, motor cross racing, hunting, fishing, SCUBA diving, riding ATV’s and spending time with his family. Mitch leaves a son, Hunter L. Knaub and his wife Kaitlin of Felton; a daughter, Katelynn L. Knaub of Brogue and a brother, Marlin R. Knaub and his wife Sylvia of East Manchester. Step-Sisters Linda Chronister and Husband Prett, Diana Smith, Carolyn Milner and Husband Sam, Patricia Smith, Beverly Kievit and Husband Norman; and a Step-Brother Stephen Munchel and Wife Regina; and many nieces and nephews.
