NEW OXFORD- Missouri S. (Cooper) Wells, 86, died on Sunday, February 12, 2012 at Cross Keys Village. A celebration of life service will be 10 a.m. on Thursday, February 16, 2012 at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd., York with Pastor Sam B. Cooper and Pastor Thomas R. Wells officiating. Viewings will be 6-9 p.m. on Tuesday and Wednesday and 9-10 a.m. on Thursday, all at the funeral home. A graveside service will be 1:30 p.m. on Thursday at Mount Olivet Cemetery, 515 S. Market St., Frederick, Md. Mrs. Wells was born on April 11, 1925 in Patterson, N.J., a daughter of the late Richard and Lula (Stanley) Cooper. Missouri was a housewife. Mrs. Wells was a member of Christian Assembly of York. She enjoyed socializing with her friends, shopping and most importantly, spending time with her family. Mrs. Wells is survived by two sons, Thomas Wells, Jr., and his wife, Marie of Chambersburg and Richard Wells and his wife, Pam of Dover; two daughters, Molly Cooper and her husband, Sam of Denton, Md. and Bessie Cooper and her husband, Asia of Crownsville, Md; 11 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren; a brother, Elisha Cooper and his wife, Dorothy of Montgomery, NY; and a sister, Charlotte Stanley of Easton, Md. She was preceded in death by a brother, James Cooper; and a twin sister, Mary Hicks.
