Miriam M. (Mcintire) Schnetzka

YORK- Miriam M. (McIntire) Schnetzka, 82, passed away Saturday, November 24, 2018, at her home, surrounded by her loved ones. She was the wife of the late Ronald K. Schnetzka, to whom she was married 41 years before his passing in 1994. A Celebration of Life memorial service will be held at 4PM on Tuesday, November 27, 2018 at St. Matthew Lutheran Church, 839 W. Market St., York, with her Pastor, The Reverend Patricia A. Snyder, officiating. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, York, is in charge of arrangements. Born December 21, 1935 in Emigsville, Miriam was a daughter of the late John V. and Helen M. (Osborne) McIntire. She worked at Fleming Corporation for 30 years prior to retirement. Miriam was a loving, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and sister who cherished her family and will be dearly missed. Mrs. Schnetzka is survived by her four children, Cindy Heist (Jeff), John Schnetzka (Gwendolyn), Kimberly Hollinger (Richard) and Lori Wampler; eight grandchildren, Lindsay and Leigh Heist, Tyler Schnetzka, Jessica Hoffner, Derek and Matthew Hollinger, and Morgan and Madison Wampler; a step-grandson, Heath Heist; seven great grandchildren, and a sister, Delma Arlene Eyster. In addition to her husband and parents, Miriam was preceded in death by a brother, John E. McIntire, and two sisters, Grace (McIntire) Anderson and Yvonne Markey. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Matthew Lutheran Church, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or a charity of your choice.
