Miriam M. (Hess) Miller

YORK- Miriam M. (Hess) Miller, 82, passed away on Tuesday, December 7, 2010 at Manor Care Dallastown. She was the wife of the late Lewis Miller, who passed away on August 1, 2000. The couple wed on May 10, 1952. A celebration of life service will be 10 a.m. on Saturday, December 11, 2010 at Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Pl., Red Lion with the Reverend Marion Haynes-Weller officiating. A viewing will be from 9-10 a.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. Mrs. Miller was born on August 21, 1928, the daughter of the late Roy E. and Violet (Householder) Hess. Miriam worked for Motor Freight Express in the accounts receivable department for 32 years until her retirement in 1982. Mrs. Miller was a life member of St. Pauls United Methodist Church in Red Lion. Mrs. Miller was a member of the Viking Athletic Association and the West York Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary. She also enjoyed flounder fishing on Chincoteague Island, VA. Mrs. Miller is survived by a son, Lewis Miller and his wife, Chris of Red Lion; two grandchildren, Travis L. Miller and his wife, Alison of Parkton, MD., and Jared L. Miller and his wife, Krista of York; and one great grandson, Reid L. Miller.
