Miriam 'Honey' (Fitz) Mccauslin

RED LION – Miriam “Honey” (Fitz) McCauslin, 73, passed away Sunday November 17, 2013 at M.S. Hershey Medical Center. A celebration of life tribute service will be held at 6:00 PM Friday, November 22, 2013 at Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion. A visitation will be held from 5-6:00 PM Friday at the Funeral Home. Private inurnment will be at Susquehanna Memorial Gardens. Born January 23, 1940 in Emmitsburg, MD a daughter of the late Maurice and Carrie (Wilson) Fitz, she was a 1958 graduate of Emmitsburg High School. Ms. McCauslin had retired from Lucent Technologies in Hunt Valley. Honey was always on the go and was active with United Way Campaigns, volunteered with Heartland Hospice, and loved spending time with her grandchildren. She attended St. Joseph Catholic Church – York. Ms. McCauslin is survived by two sons, Donnie W. and wife Kelly McCauslin of New Park and Craig T. McCauslin and his fiancée of York; two daughters, Teri E. and husband John Stacey of Red Lion and Trini E. and husband Ed Vandermark of Yoe; seven grandchildren; five great grandchildren; a brother, Maurice Fitz, Jr.; and two sisters, Jean Hemler and Marie Peterson. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Richard and William Fitz. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Heartland Hospice, 3417 Concord Rd., York, PA 17402 or Penn State M.S.
