AIRVILLE- Miriam E. (Swagert) Kline, 96, died on Sunday, September 25, 2022 at her residence. She was the wife of the late Clarence Kline who died in October of 1988.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, October 3, 2022 at Chanceford Presbyterian Church, 1784 Woodbine Rd., Airville with Pastor Beth Appel officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Pl., Red Lion is in charge of arrangements.
Born on February 10, 1926 in Airville, she was a daughter of the late Marvin A. and Ernestine H. (Hibbs) Swagert. Miriam was a secretary for the United States Government for 32 years until her retirement in March of 1985. After retiring, she worked 10 summers at the Cherry Crest Adventure Farm in Ronks, was a clerk at the Judge of Elections in Chanceford and although never practicing, was a licensed Beautician.
Miriam was a member of the National Active and Retired Federal Employees Association (NARFE). In her spare time, she loved to travel the world.
Mrs. Kline is survived by her son, Bradley Kline of Airville. She was preceded in death by a son, Brent Kline and brother, Huber H. Swagert who died in 1987.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Chanceford Presbyterian Church, P.O. Box 56, Airville, PA 17302.
