Minnie G. (Merrick) Snell

NEW COLUMBIA - Minnie G. (Merrick) Snell, 73, and formerly of Williamsport, died on Sunday, March 9, 2008 at Manor Care Health Services, Williamsport. Minnie was born on April 9, 1934 in Leroy Twp., Bradford County and was a daughter of the late Luther J. and Ruth (Crofut) Merrick. She was a former employee of the Williamsport Hospital working in medical records and housekeeping. Minnie is survived by one son; James Connor of New Mexico, one step son; Tommy Snell of Williamsport, two daughters; Ruth Hoover of New Columbia and April McCourry of Petersburg, VA, eight grandchildren; five great grandchildren, one brother; George Merrick of Mansfield and three sisters; Verna Maynard of Canton, Leah Hardin of Wellsboro and Edith Wood of Florida. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother; Llewellyn Merrick and one sister; Blanche Jackson. Graveside service will be held 11 a.m. Friday at the Highland Cemetery, New Columbia with Elizabeth Affsprung officiating the services. Arrangements are being handled by the Dale E. Ranck Funeral Service, 125 N. Front St., Milton, PA 17847.
