Minnie A. 'Gummy' (Shaffer) Sharp

DALLASTOWN Minnie A. “Gummy” (Shaffer) Sharp, 90, died at 7:20 a.m. Sunday, July 14, 2013 at ManorCare – Dallastown. She was the wife of Millard Jay “Paup” Sharp who died March 9, 2009. Following cremation, a visitation will be from 9-10 a.m. Thursday, July 18, 2013 at Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, 35 Gotham Place Red Lion with a service to celebrate her life beginning at 10 a.m. Certified Celebrant Betty Frey will be officiating at the service. Burial will be at Heiland View Cemetery. Mrs. Sharp was born May 18, 1923, in York County. She was the daughter of the late Samuel and Emma (Reibold) Shaffer. She was a seamstress with Danskin, Inc. until retiring in 1986 after 20 years of service. She also enjoyed sewing for her family and friends, crocheting, working with crafts and making delicious peanut butter fudge. Mrs. Sharp leaves her daughter and son-in-law, Joyce and Tom McClane of Spry; two grandchildren, Jamie McClane and wife, Wendy and Lisa Stern and husband, Mike; six great grandchildren, Travis and his wife, Ashley, Kendall, Andrew, Brooke, Shea and her husband, Adam, and Collin; and a great-great grandson, Flynn. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Paul and Leo; and two sisters, Lydia and Nova. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 3544 N.
