YORK- Mindy S. Hess, 58, passed away Thursday, July 14, 2016 at York hospital surrounded by her children and closest family. A graveside service will be held at 10 AM on Thursday, July 21, 2016 at Mt. Rose Cemetery. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Road, York, is in charge of arrangements. Born November 25, 1957 in York, Mindy was the daughter of the late Donald and Barbara (Morton) Hess. She had a passion for shopping and gardening. She had a fondness for cuisine and was known for her culinary skills. Above all, Mindy will be remembered for her love of family and will be greatly missed by all who were blessed to know her. Ms. Hess is survived by her beloved children, Chad Hess of York, Zachary Hess of York, and Shayla Sanders of York; her dear Kiya Hess, to whom she was a devoted nanny, and her step-grandchildren, Abigail and Justin; aunts, uncles, cousins, extended relatives, friends and coworkers. “What we have once enjoyed, we can never lose.
