YORK Milton W. Grove died Sunday, April 26, 2015 at his residence. He was the husband of Vonetta F. (Snyder) Grove to whom he was married for 56 years. A Celebration of Life Service will be held 10 AM, Thursday, April 30, 2015 at Life Tributes by Olewiler and Heffner Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion with his pastor, the Reverend Ron Doverspike officiating. A viewing will be held from 6–8 PM, Wednesday and from 9-10 AM Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be held in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens with full military honors provided by the York County Veterans Honor Guard. Born December 15, 1938, he was a son of the late Sterling D. and Alice W. (Tate) Grove, and step-mother Margaret Grove. A United States Marine Corp veteran, he was a member of Taskforce 50, the Red Lion JayCees and he was the Regional Director of the Pennsylvania JayCees, he was declared Outstanding Young Man of the Year, a graduate of the Dale Carnegie School for Public Speaking, a member and leader of Boy Scouts Troop 28 in Red Lion, and enjoyed building model ships and sailing. He retired from JST Corporation as a tool and die design manager. He was a member of the Bethany United Methodist Church in Red Lion. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Jeffrey M. Grove and wife Kathryn of Hellam, and Steven M. Grove and wife Patty of Mechanicsburg; three grandchildren, Amanda (Grove) and husband Joshua Bell of York, Zachary W. Grove of Tulsa, OK, and Hillary Grove of York; two step-grandchildren, Natalie and Stephanie Craig of Mechanicsburg; one brother, Dwight Grove and wife Betty of Aurora, CO; one sister, Myrna Bowers of York; one brother-in-law, George Snyder and wife Peggy of York; two nephews, Michael Grove and Matthew Snyder; and one niece, Jill (Snyder) Anders. Memorial contributions can be made to York Cancer Center, 25 Monument Rd., Suite 194, York, PA 17403, or in memory of Milton W. Grove to the charity or cause of your choice.
