Milton K. Sowers

MANCHESTER TWP.-Milton K. Sowers, 61 of York, died Wednesday, October 1, 2008 at York Hospital. He was the husband of Pamela J. (McCleary) Holtzinger Sowers. The couple celebrated their 5th wedding anniversary on May 9, 2008. A Celebration of Life Service will be 2 p.m. on Monday October 6, 2008 at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd. in York, with a viewing from 1-2 p.m. Burial will be in Mount Rose Cemetery. Mr. Sowers was born in York on May 15, 1947, a son of the late Ralph K. and Dorothy R. (Keener) Sowers. He retired from Osram Sylvania in York in 2003. He was a 1965 graduate of York Suburban High School. Mr. Sowers leaves a daughter, Kathy Sowers of York; two step sons: Charles Holtzinger and his wife Denise of York and Adam Holtzinger of State College; a step grandson, Nathan Holtzinger; and five cousins: Doris Weaver, Shirley McCauslin, Lucille Miller, Terry Keener, and Gary Keener.
