Millicent M. Millie" (Malick) Hoover

BERWICK - Millicent M. "Millie" (Malick) Hoover, 81, of Berwick, and formerly of West Milton, died on Monday, August 6, 2007 at the Berwick Retirement Village. She was the wife of the late Harry L. Hoover who had died on March 27, 1983. The couple was married on October 6, 1946. Millie was born on May 13, 1926 in Tamaqua and was a daughter of the late William H. and Irma E. (Lynn) Malick. She was a graduate of Milton High School. She was a member of the West Milton United Methodist Church, New Columbia Senior Citizen Center and was a volunteer at the Evangelical Hospital and Meals on Wheels. In her spare time, she enjoyed playing card games. Millie is survived by one son and daughter-in-law; Gaylord W. and Kaye Hoover of Milton, one daughter and son-in-law; Vicki J. and Glenn Koonsman of Millmont, three grandchildren; Chad Koonsman of Middleburg, Joey Dawn Hoover of Austin TX and Jason W. Hoover of Mifflinburg, four great grandchildren, one brother; Robert "Bob" Malick of Michigan and one niece; Dolores Yost of West Milton. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one sister; Mary Mazur. The funeral service will be 11 a.m. Friday, August 10, 2007 at the Dale E. Ranck Funeral Service, 125 N. Front St., Milton. Her pastor, John E. Lee will officiate the service. Burial will follow in Highland Cemetery. There will be a public viewing 10 to 11 a.m. Friday, August 10, 2007 at the funeral home.
