TROY- Mildred O. (Elliott) Smith, 90, of Troy, PA, formerly of East Smithfield, passed away on Thursday, January 3, 2008 at the Troy Community Hospital. She was the loving wife of the late Gerald E. Smith who passed away on January 10, 1985. Family and friends are welcome to call from 2:00-3:00 PM on Sunday, January 6, 2008 at the Gerald W. Vickery, Jr. Funeral Home, Inc., 110 West Main Street, Troy, PA. The memorial service to honor Mildred's life will be held at 3:00 PM on Sunday with Mildred's minister, Rev. Stan Gill officiating. Burial will be in Ulster Cemetery at the convenience of the family. Mildred was born November 9, 1917 in Elmira, NY. She was the daughter of the late Otis and Winifred (Simpson) Elliott. Mildred was a machine operator for the Youngstown Steel Door Company in Elmira, NY until she retired in the late 1960's. She was a member of the Federated Church of East Smithfield, PA, and belonged to the Ladies Auxiliary of VFW Post 7378 in East Smithfield. Mildred is survived by her sons: Gerald L. (Beverly) Smith of St. Cloud, FL, and Rodney L. (Marilyn) Smith of Inverness, FL, her daughter Patricia (Richard) Smith Raymond of East Smithfield, PA, eight grandchildren: eleven great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Mildred was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Gerald, her five brothers and five sisters. Contributions may be made in Mildred's memory to the Federated Church of East Smithfield, P.O.
