Mildred “Midge” F. Thornburg James POTTSVILLE- Mildred “Midge” F. Thornburg James, 91, of Pottsville, passed away Saturday morning at her niece’s residence in Doylestown, PA. Born in Minersville on October 10, 1920, she was a daughter of the late Howard and Jennie Dunkle Thornburg. She was of Trinity Episcopal Church, Pottsville. Midge was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin A. James, who passed away December 27, 2008; two sisters, Mary Wilson and Catherine Holauchock; five brothers, William, Norman,Elwood, Alfred “Skip” and Earl Thornburg. She is survived by several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Friday morning at 11:00 A.M. at Schlitzer-Allen-Pugh Funeral Home, Inc., 6th & West Market Sts., Pottsville, PA 17901. Father James Rinehart will officiate. Friends may call on Friday morning from 10:00 A.M. until time of service at funeral home. Interment will be held in Schuylkill Memorial Park, Schuylkill Haven.
