Mildred M. (Manning) Gordon

DOVER – Mildred M. (Manning) Gordon, 81, passed away Tuesday, August 19, 2014 at York Hospital. She was the wife of Dale R. Gordon to whom she was married for 61 years. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:00 PM Friday, August 22, 2014 at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, 950 W. Market Street, York with Rev. Daniel Mitzel officiating. Private burial will be in Prospect Hill Cemetery. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Road, York is in charge of arrangements. Born March 8, 1933 in York a daughter of the late William S. and Estella R. (Rinkenberger) Manning, she was a 1951 graduate of York Catholic High School. Mrs. Gordon is survived by four sons, Gregory and wife Tammi Gordon of York, Richard Gordon and companion Julie Fisher of McSherrystown, Michael and wife Diane Gordon of Lancaster, and Donald and wife Patricia Gordon of York; a daughter, Diane and husband Steve Christiansen of York; 11 grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren.
