Mildred M. (Allison) Shirey

RED LION- Mildred M. (Allison) Shirey, 81, died Friday, February 22, 2008 at her residence. She was the wife of Robert E. Shirey. A Celebration of Life Service will be 2 p.m. on Tuesday at Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place in Red Lion, with a visitation from 1-2 p.m. Her pastor, The Reverend Ronald S. French will be officiating at the service. Burial will be in Winterstown U.B. Cemetery. Mrs. Shirey was born in Red Lion on September 6, 1926, a daughter of the late Ervin A. and Mammie M. (Schnetzka) Allison. She retired from Flinchbaugh Products in Red Lion. Mrs. Shirey was a member of Winterstown United Methodist Church, where she enjoyed participating in rummage sales and other church activities. She enjoyed traveling and camping, especially to Niagra Falls, Canada. She loved to roller skate, square dance, and craftmaking. She also loved being around animals. Mrs. Shirey leaves a son, William E. Dunlap, Jr., and his wife Ginny of York, two grandchildren, and eight great grandchildren. Memorial contributions may be made to VNA/Hospice, 218 E.
