Mildred L. Frey

YORK - Mildred L. (Olp) Frey, 92, died at 9:15 a.m. Saturday, October 6, 2007, at ManorCare Health Services - South. She was the wife of the late Kenneth R. Frey who died May 3, 1997. A graveside funeral service will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Prospect Hill Cemetery with her pastors, the Rev. Jonathan L. Bausman and the Rev. Lori Ann Cale officiating. A funeral cortege will assemble at the Pennsylvania Ave. entrance of the cemetery at 9:45 a.m. Everhart-Jackson-Heffner Funeral Home, 1551 Kenneth Rd., York is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Frey was born July 21, 1915, in York. She was the daughter of the late Arthur J. and Daisy I. (Shindler) Olp. She was a school teacher retiring from Hannah Penn Middle School after 30 and ½ years of service. She was a 19M33 graduate of William Penn Senior High School and a 1937 graduate of Ursinus College. She was a member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church; the College Club of York; Chapter 169 of the Order of Eastern Star; and the York Women's Club. Mrs. Frey leaves her son, James E. Frey of Orrington, ME; and three grandchildren, Holli Frey, Shelli Frey and Amy Frey.
