Mildred F. (Forster) Casey

YORK - Mildred F. (Forster) Casey, 82, passed away Thursday, February 18, 2010 at the residence of her daughter. She was the wife of the late Joseph M. Casey. A memorial mass will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, February 20, 2010 at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, 950 West Market St., York with her priest, Rev. Fr. Thomas R. Hoke officiating. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Road, York, is in charge of arrangements. Born August 25, 1927 in Jamaica, NY a daughter of the late Adolph Forster and Ida (Brown) Mayo and stepdaughter to the late Frank Mayo, she was a 1945 graduate of Richmond Hill High School in Queens, NY. She was a member of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church. Mrs. Casey is survived by a daughter, Maureen C. and husband David Gerzewski of York; a son, Thomas J. and wife Dixie Casey of Edgewater, FL; two grandchildren, Kristen and Joseph Gerzewski; two great granddaughters, Chandler and Bay Rosenke; and a brother, Richard Forster of Las Vegas, NV. She was preceded in death by three brothers, William Hardy and Herbert and Howard Forster.
