WEST YORK- Mildred E. (Myers) Linsey, 91, died Thursday, May 6, 2010 at York Hospital. She was the wife of the late Milton C. Linsey. A Celebration of Life Service will be Monday, May 10, 2010 at 1:30 p.m. at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd. in York, with a viewing from 12:30-1:30 p.m. Pastor Ron Oelrich will be officiating at the service. Burial will be in Mount Rose Cemetery in York. Mrs. Linsey was born in York County on May 30, 1918, a daughter of the late Edward and Helen (Forry) Myers. She worked for National Biscuit Company, Green's Dairy, and retired from Dentsply in York. Mrs. Linsey was a member of the former Bethany United Church of Christ, now Faith United Church of Christ in York. Mrs. Linsey leaves a daughter, Susan V. Allan and of Dover; two sons, Edward C. Linsey and his wife Vivian of Red Lion and Jeffery D. Linsey and his wife Jacqueline of Wellsville; five grandchildren, Michelle Wallace, Brent Allan, Alan Linsey, Jason Linsey, and Joshua Linsey; six great grandchildren, Kurstyn, Tanner, Benjamin, Jennifer, Samuel, and Allison; a sister, Joan LaVine of St. Paul, MN and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Melvin Allan, a brother, Robert Myers and a sister, Geraldine Devlin, and a twin sister, Virginia Myers.
