Mildred E. Boyer

Mildred E. Boyer Mildred E. Boyer, 74, of Palo Alto, passed away Wednesday morning at the Pottsville Hospital Hospital. Born in Cressona on March 12, 1933 she was the daughter of the late Russell and Katherine Firestine Hummel. She attended Cressona High School. She was retired from the former Miss Pennsylvania Factory, Pottsville. She was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church, Pottsville. She was preceded in death by her husband, John K. Boyer, Sr., who passed away on November 13, 1998; her brother, Albert Hummel. She is survived by her two sons, John K. Boyer, Jr., husband of Darlene, of Shenandoah and Scott Boyer, of Palo Alto; her three Grandchildren, Melissa Sophy, wife of Dr. Matt, Brian Boyer, husband of Sherri and Brandon Boyer, Fiance' of Samantha Dimitri; her 9 Great Grandchildren; her Brother, Russell Hummel, Jr., of Pottsville; her step-sister, Shirley Recla, wife of Guy, of Pottsville; her dog, Nellie; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Saturday morning at 10:00 A.M. from the Schlitzer-Allen-Pugh Funeral Home, Inc., 6th & West Market Sts., Pottsville. The Rev. Harold L. Hand, Jr. will officiate. Friends may call on Saturday morning from 9:00 A.M. until time of service at the funeral home. Interment will be held in Charles Baber Cemetery, Pottsville.
