Mildred A. (Myers) Bowker

York—Mildred A. (Myers) Bowker, 96, died Tuesday, October 24, 2007 at York Lutheran Retirement Village at Sprenkle Drive. She was the wife of Lloyd A. Bowker, died July 30, 1971. A private graveside service will be 11 a.m., October 29, 2007 at Greenmount Cemetery with the Rev. Patricia A. Snyder of Trinity Lutheran Church in Jefferson officiating. Heffner Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd, York, is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Bowker was born January 14, 1911 in York, a daughter of the late Charles W. and Alice Myers. She was employed as a Bookkeeper with the Penn Hotel for many years, until her retirement. She formerly attended St. Matthew Lutheran Church and was a member of Imperial Point Auxiliary Hospital, Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. Mrs. Bowker is survived by a nephew, Terry Senft and wife June; and two nieces, Carol Hersh and husband, Charles and Cheryl Lettiere and husband Tom. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Martin and Andrew Myers and two sisters, Luretta Bupp and Mary Senft. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Lutheran Retirement Village at Sprenkle Drive, 1801 Folkermer Drive, York, Pa 17404.
