Red Lion — Michael W. Dietz, 75, passed away Thursday, June 4, 2015 at his residence in Windsor Township. He was the husband of the late Carolyn J. (Geltz) Dietz to whom he was married for 57 years. A Celebration of Life Service will be 11 AM, Tuesday, June 9, 2015 at Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion. A viewing will be held from 10-11 AM, Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be held in Mt. Rose Cemetery. Born February 16, 1940 in York, he was a son of the late Michael and Bettina M. (Grove) Dietz. He was employed as a foreman with York Barbell for 25 years until his retirement in 1988. He was also the past President of York Enterprise Inc., and co-owner of Casablanca Restaurant. A member of the Loyal Order of Moose—Hanover Lodge, he was also a member of the Yorkana Gun Club, Hellam VFW and farmed his family’s land in Windsor for many years. Mr. Dietz is survived by three sons, Michael Dietz and his wife, Jean of Windsor, Timothy Dietz of Red Lion and Bradley Dietz of Windsor; one daughter, Shari Argento and her husband, Joseph of York; five grandchildren, Michael, Jennifer, Amy, Carissa, Nicholas; six great grandchildren, one brother, William Dietz and his wife, Marjorie of York and sister-in-law, Ann Dietz of York. He was preceded in death one brother, David Dietz. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to American Heart Assoc., 610 Community Way, Lancaster, Pa 17603.
