Michael S. Crowley

YORK- Michael S. Crowley, 57, died on Saturday, March 10, 2018 at York Hospital. A celebration of life tribute service will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 24, 2018 at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd., York with Certified Celebrant Jessica R. Smith officiating. A visitation will be from 12-1 p.m. prior to the service. From 2:00-5:30 p.m. there will be a gathering for family and friends at the Prince Athletic Association Pavilion at 600 South Richland Avenue, York, PA 17403 to celebrate Mike's life. Born on June 26, 1960 in York, he was a son of Barbara (Brooks) Weir now of Palm Beach Gardens, FL and the late W. Jerome Crowley. Mike enjoyed playing and watching sports, particularly football, basketball and golf. He was an avid Philadelphia Eagles fan, so he really enjoyed their Super Bowl victory this year. He was a member of a boating club on the Susquehanna river, and the Prince Athletic Association. Mike enjoyed entertaining and throwing poker parties at his home and traveling with his buddies to their cabin in the mountains. Mike was a resident of York County for over 50 years and made many of close friends along the way. Mr. Crowley is survived by one brother, Jeff Crowley of Orlando, FL; one step brother, Scott Weir and wife, Sue of Steamboat Springs, CO; three step sisters, Linda Sullivan and husband, Charles of Boston, MA, Kathy Long and husband, Bill of York and Sandy Warkentin and husband, Scott of Fairfield, CT; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his stepfather, Donald Weir.
