Michael R. George

YORK- Michael R. George, 71, died Friday, October 11, 2013 at York Lutheran Home @ Sprenkle Drive. He was the husband of Karen George. The couple celebrated their 46th wedding anniversary on July 1, 2013. A visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday October, 16, 2013 at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd. in York. Military rites will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, October 17, 2013 at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery in Annville, PA. Mr. George was born in Lancaster on August 19, 1942, the son of the late Harold H. and Frances (Fisher) George. He served in the US Air Force. Mr. George leaves three sons, Michael Robert George and his wife Renee of York; Brian George of Red Lion, and Kevin Yeargin and his wife Nhu of Hampton, VA; seven grandchildren; Collin and Gavin George, Madyson Williams, Santiago George, Sean, Myles, and Bryen Quachyeargin; and a Brother, Dr. Harold “Skip” George of Lancaster. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to York Habitat for Humanity, 33 S. Seward Street, York, PA 17404.
