Michael O. Bobb

MILTON - Michael O. Bobb, 61 passed away Sunday, January 17, 2010 at Kramm Health Care, Milton where he resided since May 2008. He was born in Sunbury April 17, 1948 the son of Marlin O. and Emma D. (Rebuck) Bobb of Herdon. He was married on June 14, 1969 to the former Helen M. Burns they celebrated 40 years of marriage together. Michael was a 1966 graduate of the former Mahanoy Joint High School now Line Mountain and also a 1969 graduate of the former Williamsport Area Community College with an associate degree in graphic arts. He was a member of the Gamma Epsilom Tau Fraternity while attending college. He worked for Brodart Company, Williamsport and then Pennsylvania House, Lewisburg as a printer retiring in 1990 after 17 years. Michael had a love of trains since he was 4 years old. He was a member of St. Andrews United Methodist Church and the National Railway Historical Society since 1975. He loved spending time with his friends and his sons traveling together to various places throughout the North East U.S. and the mid-west. To capture on film various railroads and excursion trains. He also had a love of history and would do research on local railroads and other history related items. He also enjoyed photography and videography and many family events and activities over the years. Surviving are his wife, two sons Michael J. (Barbara Bobb of Cumberland, MD and Matthew J. Bobb and his companion Hannah Mitch of Mifflinburg. Three grandchildren Alan, Evan and Katrin. Also he is survived by a brother Andrew (Debra) Bobb and a sister Rebecca Heath both of Herndon. Several nieces and nephews also survive. He was preceded in death by a granddaughter Allison Guinter in 2008. The funeral service will be held 1:00 P.M., Thursday, January 21, 2010 at the Dale E. Ranck Funeral Service, 125 N. Front Street, Milton with the Pastor Dale Hippensteel officiating. Friends and relatives will be received at the funeral home on Wednesday from 6:00 - 8:00 P.M.
