Michael 'Mickey' Hrin

POTTSVILLE- Michael “Mickey” Hrin, 75, of Pottsville, passed away Monday at Schuylkill Medical Center, South Jackson Street, Pottsville. Born in Pottsville on July 2, 1937, he was a son of the late Andrew and Matilda Hulak Hrin. Mickey worked his whole life in construction prior to his retirement. He was of the Catholic Faith. He was a member of the Fraternal Orders of Eagles and Buck Fever Rod and Gun Club, both in Pottsville. Mickey was a big fan of Penn State and the Philadelphia Eagles. Mickey was preceded in death by his wife, Kathleen M. McGovern-Hrin, who passed away July 17, 2011; his brother, Joseph Hrin. Mickey is survived by his son, Michael Hrin, of Pottsville; his daughter, Suzanne McGovern, wife of Robert, of Pottsville; his two grandchildren, Collin and Elise McGovern; his three sisters, Rose Roshannon, wife of Buzz, of Pottsville, Eva Burns, wife of Barney, of Pottsville and Theresa Rennick, of New Jersey; several nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be held on Friday evening at 7:00 P.M. at Schlitzer-Allen-Pugh Funeral Home, Inc., 6th & West Market Sts., Pottsville. Family and friends may call on Friday evening from 6:00 P.M. until time of service at the funeral home. Private interment will be held in Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Saint Clair.
