NEW FREEDOM – Michael Lee Miller, 62, passed away Saturday, March 9, 2024 at York Hospital. He was the husband of Lori Ann (Snyder) Miller to whom he married on Sept. 23, 2022.


A Celebration of Life Tribute Service will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, April 20, 2024 at Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion with Rev. Cary Moorman officiating. A visitation will be held at 10-11:00 AM Saturday at the Funeral Home.


Michael was born on December 31, 1961, in Baltimore, MD. He was predeceased by his mother, Marjorie (Rider) Miller, and his father, Larry Lee Miller, and his stepmother, Nila (Kite) Miller. Michael was a 1979 graduate of Hereford High School and a 1981 graduate of DeVry Institute of Technology in Columbus Ohio. He retired from the State of Maryland after 30 years of dedicated service. He was a member of the Parkton American Legion. Michael loved skiing and golfing, but his passion was bass fishing. He was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan, especially when they played his wife Lori’s favorite team the Baltimore Ravens.


In addition to his wife, Michael is survived by two brothers, Tim and wife Terri Mooney of Wellington, FL, Greg and wife Beth Miller of Churchville, MD, and sister, Sandy and husband Cary Moorman of Frederick, MD, seven nieces, one nephew, four great nieces, five great nephews and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
