Michael L. Case

TROY- Michael L. Case, 59, of Troy, PA, passed away on Thursday, July 24, 2008 at his residence. Family and friends are invited to call from 6:00-8:00 PM on Sunday, July 27, 2008 at the Gerald W. Vickery, Jr. Funeral Home Inc., 110 West Main Street, Troy, PA. A funeral service to honor Mike's life will be held after the visitation at 8:00 PM on Sunday Evening with Rev. Kenneth Marple of the Austinville Union Church officiating. Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery at the convenience of the family. Mike was born on July 4, 1949 in Troy, PA. He is the son of the late Herbert E. and Elena M. (Stauffer) Case. Mike was a 1967 Troy High School graduate. From the time he was in high school, Mike worked for the Paper Magic factory as a floor boy and through the years worked his way up to Plant Manager. After the closing of the Troy Plant of Paper Magic, he became a salesman for Eighmey Buick. Mike love to bowl, play golf and watch sports on the television. He also coached boys' baseball and girls' softball teams. Mike enjoyed watching his children play on their different sports teams; he tried to attend all their games. He was a big fan of Troy High School Athletics and tried to keep up on how the teams were doing. To Mike, family was everything. His family includes his son Shane Michael Case with fianc矊essica Chrzan, his daughters; Karyn (Chad) Harwick of Troy, Kristy Case and fianc矊ason Comstock of Gillett, Shannon Case and fianc矃had Shaylor of Williamsport, Erin Case of Canton, and Kendra Case of Burlington, his grandchildren; Darton, Canyin, Camryn, Jacob, Justin, Madyson, Reese, Tyler, and Raegan, his brother Ronald (Audrey) Case of Austinville, his sisters; Charlotte Morgan of Troy, Hazel Watkins of RD 2 Troy, and Linda Passeri of Columbia Crossroads, along with several nieces and nephews. Mike was preceded in death by his parents, his sisters Louise Palmer and Phyllis Case, and his brothers-in-law Larry Manley and Kenneth Morgan. Contributions may be made in Mike's memory to the Austinville Union Church, RR 1 Box 368 Troy, PA.
