Michael Helferty

WILKES-BARRE-Michael Helferty, 67, of Wilkes-Barre, passed away Wednesday at HCR Manorcare, Kingston. He was born in Manhattan on November 26, 1945, he was a son of the late John and Jeanne (Martin) Helferty. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force. Michael was employed by the former Revco Drug Store which later became CVS on Carey Avenue for over 30 years. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother and sister. Surviving are his son, Jason Helferty and his wife, Kim; grandchildren Robbie Reimiller, Alex and Olivia Helferty; nieces and nephews. Friends are invited to call Saturday evening from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Kniffen O’Malley Funeral Home, 465 S. Main Street, Wilkes-Barre.
