Michael F. Probst

MILL HALL - Michael F. Probst, 47, of Mill Hall went to be with God on Friday, January 17, 2014 at home with his family by his side. He was born November 1, 1966 in Lock Haven he was the son of Arthur J. Probst, Sr. and Donna (Mason) Probst of Mill Hall. Michael worked for Trican Well Services, Mill Hall as the Facility Supervisor. He enlisted in the Marines in 1984 and served for 4 years and graduated from Paris Island where he received a Good Conduct Medal. After serving in the marines he worked for Dick & Jerry Long building homes. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and carpentry. Michael was a member of Holy Spirit Parish, Lock Haven. He was a 1984 graduate of Bald Eagle-Nittany High School. Surviving are his parents, one son Sheldon Michael Probst of Jersey Shore. Micheal is survived by his fiancé Kelly McCahan and her son Gage Sorgen of Mill Hall. One brother Arthur Probst, Jr. and also one nephew Kyle Probst both of Rote and a niece Kristi Probst of Beech Creek and a great niece Saige Mardis of Beech Creek. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, January 23, 2014 at Holy Spirit Parish, 3 E. Walnut Street, Lock Haven with the Rev. Jozef Kovacik officiating. Friends and relatives will be received Wednesday from 6 –8 p.m. at the Helt Funeral Chapel, 232 Hogan Blvd., Mill Hall. Interment will be at St. Joseph Cemetery, Hyner.
