Michael E. Peters

YORK- Michael E. Peters, 79, died at York Hospital Wednesday night. A funeral service will be 9-10:00 a.m. Monday, March 10, 2008 at Heffner Funeral Chaepl & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd., York, with his pastor the Rev. Jim Polanzke from Christ Lutheran Church, Spry officiating. A viewing will be Monday morning from 9-10am. Burial will be in Prospect Hill Cemetery, York. Mr. Peters was born in York on November 14, 1928, a son of the late Romeo B. and Edna I. Buehler Peters. He was a graduate of William Penn High School, York and continued being a fan of the high school basketball team. Mr. Peters is a US Army veteran and served during WWII. He enjoyed antiques and flea markets. Mr. Peters was a member of Christ Lutheran Church in Spry. Mr. Peters is survived by his companion, Larry W. Hibshman of Myerstown, a brother, Bernard H. and his wife, Mae Peters of York, and nieces and nephews, Judy and her husband Curt Perago of York, Gregory and his wife, Vicki Peters of Dover, Barry and his wife, Jolie Peters of Red Lion, and Michelle Peters of Thomasville.
