Michael E. Godfrey

RED LION - Michael E. Godfrey, 52, died on Wednesday, November 12, 2014 at his residence. A celebration of life tribute service will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, November 23, 2014 at Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Pl., Red Lion with Certified Celebrant Jessica R. Smith officiating. A visitation will be from 1-2 p.m. prior to the service. Born on December 7, 1961 in York, he was a son of Mary Godfey Kindig and the late Terry Godfrey. Michael enjoyed fishing and watching NASCAR. Mr. Godfrey is survived by two brothers, John Godfrey and his wife, Dorothy of Dallastown and Blain Godfrey and his wife, Kim of East Prospect; one sister, Pat Schilling and her husband, Chris of Red Lion; one step sister, Tiffani Yeager; stepfather, Larry Kindig of Red Lion; grandmother, Pauline Goodling of York; brother in law, Barry Ilgenfritz of Craley; and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one brother, Robert Godfrey; and one sister, Melissa Ilgenfritz. Memorial contributions may be made to a favorite charity of choice in Michael’s memory.
