DOVER – Michael D. Dippery, 66, passed away Thursday, March 12, 2015 at Harrisburg Hospital. He was the husband of Cathy (Callender) Dippery to whom he was married for 21 years. Funeral services and burial will be private. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Road, York is in charge of arrangements. Born November 20, 1948 in Lewistown, a son of the late Isaiah P. Dippery and the late Shirley (Fetter) and William Shenberger, Jr., he was a 1966 graduate of William Penn Senior High School. Mr. Dippery worked for Motor Technology, Inc. for 15 years. He had previously worked at Smith Village Home Furnishings and at McCrory’s Stores for 17 years. Michael was a life member of Red Lion Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks and Shiloh American Legion, and member of Yellow Breeches Anglers & Conservation Assoc. He was an avid fisherman who loved spending time in the streams. Mr. Dippery was a US Navy Veteran of The Vietnam War. In addition to his wife, Mr. Dippery is survived by a daughter, Dawn M. and husband Dustin Hoffman of Delta; two stepsons, Nathan F. and Jeremy S. Dippery both of Selinsgrove; a grandson, Corey Hoffman who is serving in the US Navy, stationed in Norfolk, VA; his stepmother, Carolyn Dippery of Gettysburg, three stepbrothers; four stepsisters; and an aunt, Eula Manquen of Dover. He was preceded in death by a stepsister.
