Michael B. Sanders

MANCHESTER- Michael B. Sanders, 52, passed away Sunday, April 13, 2014 at his home. A Celebration of Life tribute service will be held Saturday, April 19, 2014 at 2 PM at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Road, York, with his Pastor, The Reverend Roy H. Ludwig officiating the service. A viewing will be held from 1- 2 PM prior to the service. Burial will be in Prospect Hill Cemetery at the convenience of the family. Born December 4, 1961 in York, Michael was a son of the late Henry J. and Fannie D. (Burger) Sanders. Mr. Sanders worked as a janitor for five years. He was an extremely creative and artistic person. He enjoyed crafts and was a talented drummer. Michael loved the holidays, especially Christmas and had his own Santa suit to dress up in. He cherished people and never went anywhere without making friends. Michael is survived by two brothers, Harry J. Sanders and Chuck B. Sanders of York; a sister, Linda Whitehead of Wrightsville; five nephews, Dutch Lynes of York and Seth Whitehead and his wife of Dover, Luke Sanders and his wife, Jesse Sanders and his wife and Marcus Sanders, and four nieces, Kathleen Kauffman and her husband, Megan Mouldon and her husband, Shelly Sanders and her husband and Misty Sanders and her partner. In addition to his parents, Mr. Sanders was preceded in death by a brother, Mick Sanders.
