Michael A. Houck

RED LION – Michael A. Houck, 65, passed away Saturday, August 28, 2021 at UPMC Memorial Hospital. He was the husband of Sandra K. (Gohn) Houck to whom he was married for 29 years. A graveside service will be held at 10:00 AM Friday, September 10, 2021 at Bethel U.M. Cemetery, 1674 Furnace Road, Brogue with Rev. Steven Schmuck officiating. Family and friends are invited to meet at the Cemetery at 9:45 AM on Friday. Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Houck was born on October 24, 1955 in York, a son of the late Betty J. (Ream) Houck and William G. Houck, Sr. Over his career Mike had worked at York Co. Nursing Home, First General Fire Protection, Lowe’s and spent the majority of time as a self-employed contractor. He continued working part-time in retirement at A Better Rate Storage. Mike enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and going fishing. In addition to his wife, Mr. Houck is survived by a daughter, Jennifer Houck and fiancé, Josh Mego of Lower Windsor; three sons, Corey and wife Julie Houck of Bangor, PA, Warren and wife Nicole Adams of York and Ross and wife Dana Adams of Delta; 15 grandchildren; one great grandson with another grandson to be born very soon; five brothers, Richard Houck of Dover, Raymond Houck of York, William Houck, Jr. of Red Lion, Cameron Houck of Red Lion, Eric Houck of York; and his mother and father in law, Dale and Janet Gohn of Felton.
