Merle T. Goodling

Renovo - Merle T. Goodling, age 90, of Hyner, died at his residence on Sunday, December 28, 2008. He was born in Millerstown, Pa. on October 20, 1918, son of the late William and Ethel Delancy Goodling. Merle was a member of the Hyner United Methodist Church, worked as a mechanic for the Penn. Railroad for over 40 years, retiring in Oct. 1978, and served his country in the U.S. Army during WWII. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge, acquired the status of 33rd degree Mason, and was also a member of the Williamsport Consistory. Surviving is his daughter: Patricia (Daniel) Knarr of Spring Creek, Nevada, grandsons:Todd and Scott, great granddaughter: Brynn and his sister: Diane Yeater of Harrisburg. Memorial graveside services will be held 10:00 A.M.,Friday, June 19, 2009 at North Bend Cemetery, with Rev. Mahlon Nevel officiating. Maxwell Funeral of Renovo is in charge of the arrangements.
