Melody A. Markley

Melody A. (Thompson) Markley, 55, passed away suddenly on Saturday, October 1, 2016 at her home. She was the wife of Ernest S. Markley, Jr. to whom she was married for 27 years. A celebration of life tribute service will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, October 8, 2016 at Redland Valley Brethren in Christ Church, 3555 Lewisberry Road, York Haven with Pastor Brian Willison officiating. Beaver Urich Funeral Home, Inc., 305 West Front Street, Lewisberry is in charge of arrangements. Born October 22, 1960 in Harrisburg, a daughter of the late Katherine I. (Dunn) and Robert D. Thompson, Jr., she was a 1979 graduate of Red Land High School. Melody worked in the cafeteria at Red Mill Elementary School in the West Shore School District. She enjoyed tending to her fish aquariums, reading and loved spending time with her animals. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Markley is survived by a son, Ernest S. Markley, III of Etters; a daughter, Abigail L. Markley of Etters; a brother, Robert Daniel Thompson, III of York Haven; an aunt, Lona Shirk of Port Royal, Juniata Co.; and nieces and nephews.
