WINDSOR- Melanie Ann (Fake) Alagood, 61, of Lower Windsor Township, passed away Sunday, July 30, 2017 at her residence. She was the wife of Jim E. Alagood. The couple celebrated their 42nd wedding anniversary on June 8, 2017. A private celebration of life service will be scheduled at a later date. Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place in Red Lion is in charge of the arrangements. Mrs. Alagood was born in York on June 12, 1956, the daughter of the late Richard and Estella (Horton) Fake. She worked at the Stauffer Biscuit Company in York for 40 years. She also enjoyed being a Longaberger Basket Consultant. Mrs. Alagood attended Red Lion High School class of 1974. She was a member of St. John’s UCC in Red Lion. She enjoyed making baskets, teaching basket making classes, gardening, and supporting her grandchildren in various activities. Other hobbies included camping and fishing and she was a baton instructor. Mrs. Alagood leaves a son, Troy Alagood; a daughter, Holly Briese; two grandsons, Jared and Ryan Briese; a sister, Sharon Gardner; and her stepmother, Lucy Fake.
