Mazie Rottger

Abbottstown—Mazie "Macie" (Harrison) Rottger, died Saturday, January 17, 2009, just weeks from her 98th birthday, at Hanover Hospital. She was the wife of the late Richard Rottger. A celebration of life service will be held 10 a.m., Thursday, January 22, 2009 at Everhart-Jackson-Heffner Funeral Home, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd, York. Viewings will be from 6 to 9 p.m., Wednesday, and from 9 to 10 a.m., Thursday, at the funeral home. Burial will be held in Mt. Rose Cemetery. Mrs. Rottger was born February 27, 1911 in Smyrna, Delaware, a daughter of the late Thomas and Dovey (Stanley) Harrison. She was a dedicated and loving, homemaker, mother and grandmother. Mrs. Rottger is survived by one daughter Jeanne Boswell and her husband, Earl of Abbottstown, five granddaughters, Macie Jo Harrison, Celiajean Day, Jeanne Stanley, Lovevena Day and Stella Hicks, 14 great-grandchildren and 6 great great-grandchildren and daughter-in-law, Donna Rottger. She was preceded in death by a son, Dickie Rottger and two brothers.
